Happy Weekend Linky Love

My House :)

The kids and I had a wonderful little getaway at my sister's house this weekend :) We headed off on Saturday morning did some shopping around the city and then met up with my mom and dad at a great little restaurant for my mom's birthday. It was such a nice treat as we very rarely go to a restaurant. We usually pack our lunches and snacks with us to save money :)

Our evening was spent catching up, watching movies, sleeping over, and laughing at each others crazy bedhead in the morning *grin*.

Our little house is still engulfed in snow and traversing our long driveway has been a bit of a challenge with melting slushy snow and hard ice underneath but the sun came out for a bit and the gravel below is starting so show up in some of the tire tracks. Maybe tomorrow it won't take me two tries to get up the hill and out :)

Still White

Below are some of my favorite links that I have come across in the last couple of weeks :)

A delicious looking version of a Fig Newton Bar that I want to try

I am in love with the glow of these Dodecahedron Star Lanterns. We're definitely going to be making some of these!

Definitely need to keep my eyes open for an old folding basket so I can recover it like this one for my knitting basket. LOVE the half dresden plate :)

If you haven't seen this Children of the Forest Playset then you really must check it out. So inspiring!

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend!

Holiday Linky Love

The snow has been falling all day and it has me wanting to sing Christmas carols *grin*. Okay well maybe not quite yet but it does have me thinking about what gifts I want to make and what new holiday decor we can craft for our stash :)

I am loving these adorable miniature gingerbread houses!! I ran across them over at Not Martha and I can't wait to make some with the kids :) They will be perfect to perch on top of our cocoa mugs!

Need a good stash busting project for the holiday season? How about one of these fun fabric flower wreaths! Another perfect project to get the kids involved with as it is just fabric circles layered and tacked to an inexpensive vine wreath :)

These little yarn trees are so stinking cute *grin*. Now that I've started doing more knitting I've got little odds and ends of wool leftover from projects and I'm going to let the kids go crazy winding up these little trees. I think they will be a lovely addition to our nature table :)

And last but not least are these little trinket pouches that will be just perfect for my little guy :) I love the oversized grommets for attaching a carabiner to! I can just see him clipping them to his pant belt loops and filling them with his special treasures or taking them outdoors when we go for nature walks. I wonder how many rocks or pine cones we can fit into one of those little pockets *grin*.

What are you making this holiday season?

Linky Love

totem

So much for the rainy forecast that was mentioned earlier this week... it was a stunning day today!! Of course I spent most of the day in the city doing banking, grocery shopping and other mundane tasks but to not be rained on was a lovely bonus *grin*.

I wanted to share with you some of my favorite craft projects, recipes and photos that I came across this week and hopefully you haven't already seen them all :)

silhouette tree on yarn swirled bkgrd LollyChops

LollyChops shares a fabulous printable tree silhouette and some great ways to customize it for different holidays or themes. I am in LOVE with the swirled yarn background!

felt leaves

I am so making some of these wool leaf coasters I found on Design*Sponge with the kids!!! This is such a great project for fall :)

Pumpkin Spice Latte
{Photo via Dalboz17}

Wouldn't you know it I just had my very first Pumpkin Spice Latte today in town and with this great recipe from Delicious Noise I can save myself some serious coin and enjoy one anytime I want!

moss-carpet

Oh my word, I want this!! *swoon*
This amazing bath mat is made with real live moss that lives in your bathroom through the humidity and water from your feet as you step out of the bath onto it.

I am crazy about moss and if you have never stepped barefoot on a plushy carpet of moss before stop what you are doing right now and run straight to the nearest wooded area and let you inner fairy run free as you caress some moss with your tootsies! LOL.

Hope you enjoyed my linky love and have a fantabulous weekend :)
